POP ART offer top class live music. We’re a professional male/female group
who specialize in music for all types of special events and functions like
weddings, hotel dinner dances, birthdays, anniversaries, private and
corporate parties including Masonic events & Rotary functions.
We sing and play a broad range of upbeat music to suit different age groups
and tastes, from classics to current favourites. We’re happy to include
requests, for a first dance or in general, just let us know in advance
what you’d like. If appropriate we can also provide a DJ service with extra recorded music, as background or for dancing, in-between/before/after
sets from laptop mp3/CD.
We are based in the UK West Midlands and travel throughout the UK & Europe.
The group are smartly dressed and are self contained with superb modern PA
and lighting equipment, including star cloth backdrop & mirror-ball.
We are available in different formats from 3, 4 to 5 piece group.
The 3 piece group features a male keyboards player/singer, a female
singer, & a male guitarist/singer, the 4, 5 & 6 piece adds a male bass
guitarist/singer, a male drummer/singer & a female saxophonist/singer.
We’re very flexible about times so it fits around your arrangements and
the requirements of your special event. As an example we could play for
2 X 1 hour spots or 3 X 45 minute spots with of course the provision of music before, after & in-between sets. If you wanted more or less or something
different to this, just let us know & I’m sure we can accommodate what
you have in mind.
We sing & play LIVE a broad range of music from the 50's, 60's, 70's,
80's & 90's to the hits of the present day. This includes Pop & Rock classics, Rock’n’roll, Motown, Romantic Ballads, Movie themes, Classics from the
Swing era, 70’s Disco, Show Tunes, Ska & Reggae, Ballroom Music, 80’s
Electro Pop & the best 90’s & 00’s, including the latest Hits as well.
The group features the combined talents of Glamorous Singer Kate who has
an exceptional voice & MD Andy who is an experienced Singer & Keyboards
player, we are joined by charismatic Ricky who is a talented Guitarist &
Singer, as a 4/5/6 piece group we are joined by madcap Drummer and
Singer Mike, talented saxophonist Mel & gifted Bassist and Singer Jim.
As well as our main show, we can also perform two special theme shows.
One is a 1980's theme show with the big hits of that era & we can also
dress in 80’s style costumes i.e. Adam Ant, Boy George, & Blondie’s Debbie
Harry. This is fun & ideal for Christmas and 1980's theme parties. The other
theme is a Swing show with songs from the Rat Pack & Swing Era. Stage
clothes are ultra smart for this & include Ball Gown & Tuxedos. This is very
popular & ideal for all kinds of swish parties and sophisticated events.
